Dashain

   Dashain is the greatest festival of Hindus. It is celebrated for fifteen days in the month of Aswin. It is celebrated to remember Ram's victory over Rawan. All the schools,colleges, government and non-government organizations remain closed during this festival.

   The first nine days are called Navaratri (nine nights). During these days, people worship Durga, the Goddess of power. The tenth day is called Vijaya Dashami.

   The seventh day of Dashain is called Saptami or Fulpati. The eighth and ninth days ae called Maha Asthami and Maha Nawami. On these days, people sacrifice goats, hens, sheep, buffaloes, etc.

  Tenth day is called Bijaya Dashami. On this day, seniors bless their juniors putting tika and jamara. It continues up to Kojagrath Purnima, which is the last day of Dashain.

  During Dashain, people spend their time having delicious meal. People clean their houses and wear fine clothes. Many people eat meat. They kill birds and animals.

  Dashain is the time of happiness All classes of people weather rich or poor celebrate this festival. People who are away from home come back to home to celebrate this festival.

Discipline

    Discipline means habit of doing work according to rules. Discipline is necessary for people of every age, at every place of work line home, school, playground, society, army, etc. An undisciplined person is disliked and hated by people.

    Home is the first place where we learn discipline. At home, children must obey their parents and seniors. The teacher and the students must follow the rules and regulations of the school.School should maintain discipline to provide quality education. Discipline is necessary even in the playground also.To win game, player must maintain discipline. Discipline is much more important in the army. Soldiers obey their seniors without any questions. Likewise, there is a great importance of discipline in each and every organization.

   Discipline is necessary to get success in life. It is the precious treasure. Children should be taught discipline at homes and schools. They are the best places to teach children to be disciplined.

   

Gautam Buddha


   Gautam Buddha was born in Lumbini about 2500 years ago. His father was king Suddhodhan. His actual name is Siddhartha Gautam. He is the founder of Buddhism. He is also called the "Light Of Asia".

  Siddhartha Gautam was the prince and could enjoy every kind of pleasure. But he did not enjoy the royal pleasure. He was married to Yashodhara and got a son, Rahul.

  Siddhartha Gautam left the palace and his family in search of the truth and reality. He reached to Gaya. He sat under the Peepal Tree and medicated there sitting cross- legged. At last, he gained supreme knowledge. Then he started teaching people about the truth. People started calling him Gautam Buddha. He preached his first sermon at Sarnath. His preaching became the norms of religion called Buddhism. His followers are called Buddhists. There are many Buddhist in Nepal and abroad.

 At the age of 80, Gautam Buddha  died at Kushinagar. His religion has emphasized to maintain peace in the world.

The Telivision:

 Television was invented by Scottish scientist named T.C Baird. The telivision is a wonderful gift of science. Telivision is becoming popular nowadays. It is a popular means of communication and entertainment.
 There are different programmes on the television. We can watch different things happening in far remote places. The television gives us different programmes like songs, dances, dramas etc. We can see picture of persons and places. It is a source of education. We can get knowledge about science, health, geography and other subjects. We can also know different informations from the television. We can get knowledge about science, health, geography and other subjects. We can also know different informations from the television. We can be intelligent by watching television.
 The television can be black and white or coloure. The colour telivision gives us greater pleasure. It makes viewing more interesting. We should not spend much time on the telivisio. It can weaken our eye sight and spoil our study.
